This Love word design is one of my favourites from this valentines batch. The lettering has that rough brushstroke texture built into the satin fill, so up close it looks like someone painted it with a thick brush rather than stitched it digitally. Above the letters a bunch of red solid hearts float up like theyre being released, and theres a tiny heart tucked into the V curve which is a detail I love.

Two colour stops, black for the word then red for all the hearts. The underline brushstroke is also black. Density is 612 so its solid enough to need cutaway behind stretch fabrics, tearaway is fine on woven cotton. Back stretch jersey with cutaway without fail on this one, the density will distort the fabric if you skip it.

5 sizes from 3.51 by 2.85 inches up to 7.51 by 6.1 inches. Its taller than it is wide at most sizes which suits a portrait-orientation placement like a shirt front or a bag panel. Stitch count 9,685 to 28,018. Hoop it with the design centred and run the black thread first before swapping to red for the hearts.

Ive seen customers try the medium version on black tees and the black on black doesnt work obviously, so stick to white, grey, cream or any coloured fabric where the lettering reads clearly. I had people order for tees, pillows, canvas bags, kitchen towels, pretty versatile for a word design. The floating hearts stop it looking like just another plain text piece. Skip fabrics under 2 ounces weight, the satin density is too much for super lightweight material.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Valentines day shirtsA 5 inch size placed on a white or grey tee is a clean valentines day shirt that works at any age.
  • Cotton kitchen towelsStitched on a white cotton kitchen towel the design becomes a sweet valentines day home gift.
  • Romantic bedroom pillow coversDropped onto a cream pillow cover the brushstroke lettering style looks relaxed and genuinely homemade.
  • Canvas tote bag frontsThe portrait shape suits a canvas tote front panel perfectly and the hearts make it more visual than plain text.
  • Valentines wall art hoopsStitch the large size onto stretched linen in a hoop frame for an easy valentines day wall art piece.
  • Wedding gift tea towelsA tea towel with this design makes a thoughtful wedding gift that a couple can actually use every day.
  • Matching couples sweatshirtsMatching sweatshirts with the same placement look intentional and sweet as a couples valentines outfit.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
