Its a unicorn face without a body, and thats what makes it work. Right up top there's a horn built from alternating spiral bands of deep red and pale pink, and around it float eleven small filled hearts at different angles, like they just burst off the horn. Below the horn two teardrop ears sit on either side with a blush satin fill inside a black outline. No brow detail, no eyes, just two sets of long curled black lashes at the bottom that give the whole face that dreamy closed-eye look. And in the middle, where the muzzle would normally be, theres a bold layered heart stacked in coral and pink with a red outline, flanked by two swooping ribbon-like coral shapes curling in from each side.

Seven colours total. The horn stripes alternate so the spiral reads clearly even at the 3 in micro. Lashes are done in a tight satin fan so individual hairs seperate from each other without matting down. The floating hearts above the horn stagger in scale so the biggest ones sit closest to the tip and the smallest drift away at the edges, which gives the illusion of them launching upward. Its a small detail but it makes the whole composition feel like it has movement.

Biggest size is 7.51 by 7.13 inches, so it fills a tote front panel or a kids backpack flap no problem. Smallest is 3.51 by 3.34, which works on a shirt pocket or a notebook cover. Stitch count runs from just under 10k at the small end to 25k at the largest, so factor in a bit of time on the big version. Use medium weight cutaway on stretchy items and tearaway under woven cotton or felt.

I get a lot of messages from people making february gifts for young girls and this one keeps coming up as a favourite because the face reads as unicorn instantly even without a full body. Works on felt, fleece, canvas and smooth cotton equally well. Holler at me if a size runs too dense on your machine and Ill tune the density.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
