Sat down with this one specifically for the unicorn-obsessed kids market that crosses over with valentines day. Its not the full unicorn body, its just the face, which actually makes it more versatile because it fits on smaller items without needing a big hoop.

The spiral horn at the top alternates red and pink, and the lash lines have little heart and floral buds growing out of them which is the detail most people notice first when they see it. 3 thread colours total, red, pink, and black, so its a quick stitch with only 2 colour stops. Runs from 7,177 stitches at the smallest size to 22,797 at the largest. Tape no-show cutaway under anything stretchy, tearaway under woven cotton. Slot in a new 75/11 needle for the detail lash passes.

I get a lot of orders from parents whose daughters went through the unicorn phase and valentines happened to coincide. Stitch it on a pink tee at about 5 inches and its exactly the right scale for a kid around ages 4-9. Also works on adults, the bold outline style reads as graphic rather than baby-ish, so older unicorn fans order this too.

Stitch sizes run 3.51 to 7.51 inches wide. The face is roughly square in proportion so it centres well on pouches, patches, and cushion panels.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Valentines day tees for kids who love unicornsPink or white tees at the 5 inch size suit kids aged 4-9 well; the lash detail is the first thing they notice.
  • Birthday gifts for girls in the unicorn phase aged 4-9Works year-round as a birthday design too, the heart element just makes it more valentines-appropriate.
  • Zip pouches and pencil cases for girls school accessoriesThe roughly square composition centres perfectly on a pencil case or A5 zip pouch front panel.
  • Nursery cushion covers for a magical bedroom themeA nursery cushion in pink cotton with this at 6 inches sits nicely in a magical or fantasy-themed room.
  • Iron-on patches for backpacks and denim jacketsTrim to a patch shape on a felt backing and attach to a denim jacket; the outline holds up well off-machine.
  • Adult tote bags for older unicorn fans who want a graphic lookAdults who collect unicorn items order the 7.51 inch size on tote bags; the graphic style works on neutral canvas.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
