This is the rooster that absolutely cant calm down. Big close-cropped head portrait, beak wide open mid-cluck, round white eyes with tiny dark pupils staring right at you. The crest feathers explode outward in every direction, each one a different colour, blue next to red next to lime green next to magenta, and they radiate out like the bird just got a fright. Behind the whole head sits a dark navy-purple paint splash shape with a jagged dripped edge, like the colour literally burst out of the chicken. Twenty one colours, twenty one thread swaps. Kinda the most Ive ever packed into one design.
At 7.5 inches this runs to about 56k stitches and most of that density lives in the feather crown. Each feather is digitised with directional stitching running along the feather spine so theyre textured rather than flat satin fills. The paint splash background uses a looser tatami with irregular density to mimic ink splattering on fabric, which is what makes it look hand-printed rather than digital.
Ive been stocking this one since last spring and honestly it sells harder on black fabric than anything else in my farm animal range. The neon crest colours need a dark ground or the lime green and magenta get washed out. I get messages from custom apparel makers who put this on black streetwear tees and sell out within days of posting.
Use a mesh cutaway on black jersey for anything above 4 inches, the density is real and it needs proper backing. Keep your speed moderate on the first feather pass and let the underlay set properly. Hoop very flat and snug because the tall feather column shifts if theres any slack in the fabric.
