This one looks like someone ripped it straight out of a Victorian botanical handbook. Big open-petalled flowers at the top, a cluster of tight buds reaching higher, broad textured leaves filling out the lower half. Black, grey, and white thread only, no colour stops at all beyond three. The shading builds through pure linework so it basically reads as a grayscale drawing done in thread.

Density sits at 1,129 which is on the higher side, and you feel that when you pick up a finished piece, theres real weight to it. Crosshatch fills across the petals, long directional lines running down the leaves, satin edges on the buds. Proper old engraving quality, up close its all lines, from a distance it reads tonal. Nine sizes, narrowest hits 2.33 inches wide by 3.5 tall, the largest stretches to 4.99 wide and 7.5 tall, its a tall narrow design so dont try to fill a wide horizontal space with it.

I get asks from folks doing black and white themed weddings asking about this one regularly. Its popular for linen napkins and table pieces where buyers want something that reads vintage rather than printed. A customer running a small wedding hire business used it last autumn on a batch of 40 napkins and said the finished linen looked like antique French table linen. Which is exactly the vibe honestly.

Stitch on cream linen or white cotton for the classic botanical result. Charcoal linen gives a dark-ground reversed version that looks moody and a lil different. The tatami-style fills in the leaves and petals want a smooth base fabric, avoid anything too textured or fluffy. Pair woven cutaway for woven linen, cutaway on any stretch. Slow the machine for the dense petal sections or the bobbin tension pulls.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
