Single-color outline of a crab done in that vintage botanical illustration style, top-down view, legs spread wide, claws raised, with a pair of open magnolia blooms tucked right underneath where the legs meet. The flowers have alot of petal detail in the stitching and little leaf sprigs on either side. Its the kind of nautical motif you'd see on old china or antique coastal prints, clean and airy rather than filled solid.
Comes in 5 sizes from 4 to 8 inches wide. Stitch counts run 12,030 at the smallest up to 24,839 at full size, digitised at density 445, theres good texture in the claw segments and shell without it pulling heavy on the fabric. Use a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser and stitch at a slower speed on the finer leg sections. Try teal on natural linen, or navy on white cotton for a sharper coastal look.
Earlier this month a customer reached out saying she stitched the 4-inch version onto a set of linen cocktail napkins for her beach house and immediately had to run a second batch because everyone asked where they came from. That kind of reaction I hear abit more than you'd think with this one.
Holler if anything isnt right with your download and ill get it sorted right away.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Beach tote bags and canvas shoppersThe wide spread of the crab design fills a bag panel nicely, works at the 8-inch size on a standard tote.
- Kitchen towels and linen napkins for coastal kitchensA set of 4 linen napkins in the same thread color looks really pulled together for a beach house table.
- Pillowcases and cushion covers for beach house decorThe outline style sits really cleanly on cushion fabric, no heavy fill to pucker the fabric.
- Bucket hats and sun visorsBucket hats take the 4-inch size well, sits right on the front panel without crowding the brim.
- Baby bibs for coastal or nautical nursery themesNavy thread on white cotton gives it a clean nautical nursery look for a baby bib set.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
