This vintage pickup truck design has a classic curved-fender in side profile, the kind from the 1940s or 50s, and the truck bed has a bunch of cream and red heart balloons piled in it, strings going up and some of the hearts already floating free above the cab. The truck outline is cream or tan satin, those balloon floaters in red, and theres a burgundy or darker tone for shadow detail on the wheel wells and bumper. Six colours total, density at 1103, which is on the higher end so the satin fills and outlines both hold really crisply.

Four sizes run from 3.42 inches wide at 26270 stitches up to 5.69 inches wide at 47119. Height goes 4.51 to 7.51 inches, so this sits portrait-ish, taller than wide at the larger sizes. Back it with a cutaway stabiliser, 2.5 oz minimum, and keep the hoop tension firm. At density 1103 any looseness in the hooping will cause the truck outlines to shift and youll see a gap between fill and border.

Mapped in my usual software and the colour stops are exactly where they need to be, dont manually reorder or the truck body shading wont layer correctly. Run the truck fill first, then the balloon hearts, then the outline as the file sequences it. A customer last christmas put the 5.5-inch on a cream canvas pillow for a January decor swap and said it looked rustic but polished at the same time. Thats the exact vibe this one has.

Best on cream, white, oatmeal, or natural linen. Avoid dark fabric, the tan truck body disappears. A tearaway stabiliser works fine on woven canvas, cutaway on anything that stretches or knits.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Cream canvas cushion coversPop the 5-inch piece on a cream canvas cushion and it sells as a valentine home decor piece straight away.
  • Natural linen tote bagsThe 4-inch on a natural linen tote gives it that rustic country market feel, very popular with older customers.
  • Valentine's Day wall hangingsFrame the 5.5-inch on cream linen for a wall hanging, no backing needed, just a simple frame.
  • February craft market tea towelsthe 3.5-in across white cotton tea towels works as a seasonal product for february farmers markets.
  • Farmhouse-style fabric giftsA farmhouse-themed craft stall will sell these fast, pair with a buffalo check ribbon for gift wrap.
  • Baby shower keepsake blanketsStitch the 4-inch centred on a cream swaddle blanket for a baby shower gift, hearts work year-round.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
