Heres the whale tails with splash design and its a trio of flukes breaching one after the other. Three black whale tails rise out of the water in a row, each one slightly different in angle, each surrounded by its own splash crown. Tail one points slightly left, the centre one stands tall and straight, the third leans right.

Seven colours stack to organise the layers. Deep black fills the flukes with directional satin running tip to base. A thin navy edge sits along the base of each tail, it anchors the design into the water. Sky blue and soft cyan build the rising spray and ivory white catches the foam crests. Honestly the colour gradients are what give the whole piece that real-water feel, the satin direction follows the ripple curve.

I drew this for marine biology folks and beach-house decor lovers, my mum has been digitising ocean scenes for forty years and this layouts one of her favourites. Last spring a customer wrote me about stitching the 7-in size on a baby blanket for a coastal-themed nursery, the flukes worked beautifully across the corner.

Stitch on light blue, white or cream fabric to keep the foam spray visible. Sand-colour linen and natural canvas do a stellar job aswell, the black flukes anchor against warm tones and the cyan carries through. Skip dark fabric, the ivory highlights and blue splashes wash out and the whole sea feeling drops.

Hoop firm and customise the order if needed. Largest size runs 24k stitches, the spray fills hit dense at the white foam tips so use a quality cutaway stabiliser to stop puckering. Skip stretchy knits, the long horizontal layout pulls funny on jersey. Theres no good way to fix that. Reach out direct if anything pulls weird, ill send a re-cut same day.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
