Ive sold a bunch of these over the past two christmas seasons and it just keeps coming back every year. The tree itself has those wild curly branch tips that spiral outward, kind of like something out of a storybook rather than your average pine shape. Along the left side theres a small green creature reaching up to hang an ornament, very Grinch-adjacent without actually being the Grinch. Its got real character.
Eight thread colours go into this: yellow star at the top, bright green for the layered branches with dense directional stitching, dark magenta, aqua, red, brown trunk, a soft sage highlight, and black outlines. Thats 7 colour changes total so your machine stops 8 times. Hoop with a cutaway stabiliser on this one, not tearaway. The density sits around 1187 and the stitch count runs from 16,545 on the chest piece up to 36,379 on the full 7.51 inch version. You need that cutaway backing to keep everything flat through that many stitches.
Stitched a test run on a red felt stocking last december and the contrast on those bright baubles against the red was really something. I get customers coming back asking if I have more trees in this storybook style, so clearly it resonates. And since its tall and narrow at the smaller sizes, it also fits nicely on shirt pockets and toddler bibs without losing detail. Try it on cream or white ground fabric so the 8 colours all read properly against each other.
Five sizes come in the download. Run a test swatch before committing to the final piece so you know how the branch fill handles at the size youre using. Comes with all 8 machine formats so whatever brand you have its covered.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
