Cooked up this Believe word design because I wanted something that reads as christmas without being generic. Its gonna look like just the word at first glance, then people notice each letter is actually a different icon. The B has a Santa hat, the middle section has an elf boot and snowflake, the antlers do double duty as letters, and that little garland of lights runs along the bottom tying the whole thing together. Five colours, which keeps the thread changes manageable at 5 sizes from 1.67 by 3.51 inches up to 3.57 by 7.51 inches.

I made this one specifically for portrait-format placement, think front panel of a tall mug cozy, a vertical stripe on a christmas pillow, or a centre panel on a cotton tote. Density is 511 so its a medium-weight stitch. Hoop it with a stable cutaway on jersey and cotton, use a water-soluble topping on any knit fabric with texture so the small snowflake detail comes out clean. The snowflake is the trickiest element because its kinda delicate at the smaller sizes.

A customer earlier this year used the 3.57 by 7.51 inch version as a standalone patch sewn onto a linen advent calendar bag. Stitch it on white felt first, trim close, then hand-attach. The satin edges hold well for that kind of application. Skip tearaway on felt, go full cutaway. Pair with a red or green thread for the bobbin to keep the underside tidy.

Send me a quick note if anything goes sideways with the download and Ill fix it straight away.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Christmas shirt and sweatshirt front placementsThe tall narrow format works perfectly centred on a sweatshirt chest, the 3.57 inch width fits all adult sizes
  • Mug cozy and coffee sleeve panels in portrait orientationPortrait orientation drops straight into a mug cozy panel without any rotation adjustment
  • Advent calendar bags and small fabric pouchesStitch onto the bag fabric before construction so you get a clean edge inside and out
  • Christmas pillow centre panels and cushion frontsThe 7.51 inch tall version fills a standard 18 inch pillow centre with room to spare around the edges
  • Cotton tote bags and canvas market bagsUse the 3.57 inch version on a natural cotton tote, the green and red pop against cream or oatmeal fabric
  • Children's christmas dresses and holiday outfitsGreat for a holiday dress front panel stitched on cotton jersey with a no-show cutaway
  • Felt ornament patches and gift tag appliquesStitch on white felt, trim to shape, add a ribbon loop, and you have a quick fabric ornament

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
