The hair is what you notice first. Its enormous, going in every direction, and its not one colour, its basically seven or eight different thread colours all tangled together in long flowing strands. Blue, yellow, pink, green, all radiating out like the girl just walked through a wind tunnel. Then theres the balloon above her, striped in similar colours, and the little dress and tights below that are also striped. The whole design is very consistently chaotic, which is a word combination that doesnt N make much sense until you actually see it stitched out.

Plotted in industry tools. The hair strand colours come out independent because the routing runs 14 colour changes in the right order so they dont bleed into each other during the run. 15 colours total, 25,465 stitches at 4.1 inches wide, 45,342 at the largest 6.84-inch hoop. The density is set at 884, which gives the hair sections enough coverage without making the whole thing stiff on lighter fabrics.

Cream canvas totes are a good match for this one. A customer wrote me to say theyd stitched the 6.5-in build on a natural cotton tote for their daughters art class bag, the multi-colour hair came out really vivid. Cutaway stabiliser, medium weight. On anything stretchy like a jersey knit, add a water-soluble topping over the hair area or the thin satin strands will sink into the fabric texture.

Pick this for birthday shirts, kids room cushions, or book bags. Avoid hooping directly on thick fleece without a topping. Stitch the tights and dress sections at a slightly slower speed so the satin columns sit down flat, they read as proper stripes in the finished piece and rushing that section can give you surface gaps.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Stitch on kids' birthday party shirts or dressesBirthday shirts work best in a plain white or pale pink fabric so the 15 thread colours all read clearly
  • Embroider on a natural cotton tote for a school or art class bagNatural cotton canvas tote takes cutaway stabiliser and holds the satin column detail in the tights
  • Add to a cushion cover for a girls bedroom or playroomCushion placement at the 6.84-inch size fills a standard 45cm cushion cover front panel
  • Use on a backpack front panel for a toddler or preschool bagCanvas backpack panels hold the dense stitch count without puckering at the hair areas
  • Decorate a onesie or romper for a first birthday photo outfitWhite onesie fabric shows the peach skin tone and multi-colour hair thread palette at their best
  • Add to a drawstring library bag or book pouchDrawstring bag cotton holds the design well, use the 4.1-inch size for smaller bag panels
  • Stitch onto a quilt panel as a centrepiece block for a kids roomQuilt panels in a plain white cotton work well as a centrepiece with the full colour range showing

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
