The layout has that scattered-around-a-central-point feel. 'whip it' arcs across the top in big looping green cursive. 'it good' sweeps across the bottom the same way. In the middle sits a solid red ribbon banner with the word 'WHIP' written in tight black block caps, with little asterisk decorations on each side. The word repeating like that is just a bit cheeky and most people who see it on an apron smile immediately.

Scattered around the ribbon are three kitchen tools. A lidded red stockpot sits to the right of centre, a red-handled spatula with a slotted head crosses beneath it, and a red chef knife cuts diagonally across the lower half. Four small four-pointed sparkle stars dot the space between everything. Theyre not huge but they keep the composition from feeling empty in the gaps between text and tools.

Three colours, 2 machine stops. You run the red sections first, then the green script, then the black banner text. Takes a bit of patience to get the colour order right the first time but after that its straightforward. The long looping descenders on 'it good' are the trickiest part of this stitch out. Back the fabric properly and dont rush the hoop tension or those bottom loops will distort.

Last Christmas a customer messaged me after stitching this on a set of navy aprons she was gifting to her baking group. Said the green turned almost emerald against the dark ground and it looked way better than shed expected. Thats honestly my favourite thing to hear. Stitch it on charcoal cotton too and the red and green pop like a vintage tea-room menu. Works on cream linen as well. Woven fabric only, skip the stretch. Five sizes from four to 8 inches. What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kitchen aprons for home bakers and cooksStitch at seven inches on a canvas apron bib and the scattered utensils fill the space just right without overloading it
  • Funny gift tea towels for people who love cookingA customer who runs a small baking-gift business uses this design on tea towels as a regular seller in her seasonal bundles
  • Canvas tote bags for cooking class participantsGreat for a cooking class takeaway bag, stitch it on a plain cotton tote so students have something to carry their notes home in
  • Cushion covers for kitchen stools and benchesPut it on a bar stool cushion cover in charcoal or navy linen and the red and green hold their own without feeling garish
  • Back panel on denim or canvas jacketsWorks as a back panel on a denim jacket at the larger sizes, the scattered composition fills a wide area naturally
  • Framed hoop art for bakery or cafe displayMount on cream cotton in an eight-inch hoop and it looks like a piece of vintage kitchen advertising in a cafe or bakery
  • Personalised baking set with matching accessoriesStitch this alongside matching oven mitts or an apron as a gift set for anyone who spends most of their time in the kitchen

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
