Reached for a completely different font style with this one on purpose. Where the other word-art designs in this series use the rounded squishy bubble letters, WIFEY is stacked three rows in a bold ornate Western serif, the kind with the sharp slab feet on the letters and the pointed decorative tips on the W and Y. Its got a much more festive drama to it, almost like it belongs on a vintage wedding sign but stitched onto satin or denim. Three rows stacked, top and bottom rows are the outline version, middle row is the solid black fill, and a solid heart sits centred below the whole block.

Digitised in industry tools, 1 colour, no thread changes during the run. Stitch count goes from 8,667 at the 2.40-inch small size up to 21,804 stitches at the full 7.51 in build. Density is 565, which is right for this font style because the slab serifs and the decorative stroke terminals have more intricate shapes than a plain bubble letter. Back with woven cutaway on linen and any other fabric with movement. Skip tearaway on a denim jacket, the slab-serif fills on the E and the F are wide satin columns and theyll shift if the hooping isnt tight. Stitch at around 70 percent speed on your first run with this one, the longer serif strokes reward a slightly slower feed. On stable wovens like canvas its very forgiving. Add a topping film on any textured surface or loose weave.

I get messages about this one around wedding season specifically. A customer used the 4.5 in run on the back of a white denim jacket last summer and it looked genuinely suprised me how good it came out in the photos. Youll want the thread matching the lining colour if you go white fabric, bright white thread on white denim shows the bobbin tension really clearly. Text me if the sizing isnt right for your specific garment, Im happy to walk you through it.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Bride white denim jacket back panelThe top size 7.51 sits dramatically on the back panel of a white denim jacket, use a medium cutaway and run at lower speed for the serif terminals.
  • Bachelorette party matching crew neck sweatshirtsFor a bachelorette crew order, the 3.08-inch size works well on the left chest of a matching sweatshirt for each guest.
  • Wedding day getting-ready tote bag or robeStitch the 2.40-inch size on a canvas tote in natural or ivory for a getting-ready bag, quick to hoop and practical as a gift.
  • Bridal shower gift personalised pillow coverA plain white or blush cushion cover with the 3.76-inch centred version makes a low-cost bridal shower gift that looks considered.
  • Honeymoon holiday beach bag or resort toteRunning 4 inch wide on a canvas beach tote in a natural colour is the right scale for a honeymoon or resort trip bag.
  • Just married photo prop or banner fabric panelFor a flat fabric banner or photo booth prop, hoop the 5.14-inch on a piece of natural linen before sewing into the finished piece.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
