Its a vertical wildflower border, just outlines, no fill, stems and tiny blooms drawn in a loose botanical illustration style. Single colour, one thread change, which means Its one of the ones you can stitch in literally any colour you own without worrying about matching. The tallest size goes to 10 inches so its long enough to run down a shirt sleeve or along a towel edge. Smallest is about 6 by 2.95 inches.

Because its all running stitch outlines the density is only 156, which is really low, so it stitches fast. The small size clocks in at 5,415 stitches and the large at 7,652 stitches, which is quick even for basic machines. A lightweight tearaway stabiliser is all you need here, no cutaway required because theres so little density to hold. Hooped on a cotton shirt the botanicl line detail stays crisp without any distortion.

I had a customer last year who used this on a set of linen napkins for a dinner party, stitching one side border per napkin in a dusty sage green. She said a guest thought they were vintage. That kind of reaction is what this design is built for. Text me if you run into any file trouble and Ill take care of it right away.

Stitch it along a cuff, a pocket edge, a sleeve hem. Run it down the side of a pillowcase. Use it as a shirt front accent or a tablecloth border. Add a second pass in a contrasting colour if you want more depth. Best on plain cotton or linen. Text me a note if anything looks off and Ill resend the file.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Linen napkin borders stitched in a single earthy tone for a handmade table settingLinen dinner napkins, one border running the right-hand edge of each piece in sage green, looks expensive without the cost.
  • Shirt sleeve or cuff accent with the tall border running down the outer seamOxford shirt sleeve seam, the tall 10-inch runs cleanly down the outer arm in a tone-on-tone thread for a slow fashion detail.
  • Pillowcase edge decoration in a neutral thread on white or cream cottonPillowcase edge in ivory on white cotton at the mid-size, the kind of minimal botanical thing that makes a bedroom feel adult.
  • Tote bag side panel accent using the full 10-inch border heightCanvas tote side panel at the full height, the border turns a plain bag into something worth keeping.
  • Tea towel borders stitched along the short ends in a matching kitchen colourKitchen towel short-end accent in terracotta on oatmeal at the 6-inch, makes a matched set without adding much stitch time.
  • Baby clothing hemline accent on a simple cotton romper or dressBaby romper hemline at the smallest size on tearaway, a one-thread run that gives plain baby clothes a handmade reading.
  • Botanical gift wrap accent stitched on a small fabric ribbon or tagFabric hang tag on handmade garments, the 6-inch border in a contrasting colour is the finishing detail that reads as a brand.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
