Three words stacked on top of each other. Wife on top in red, mom in the middle in black, boss across the bottom in red again. Each word is that big chunky brush-letter style where the tails loop and curl at the ends. The W in wife has this wide open swoop, and the double S at the end of boss kicks out with a little decorative tail that really finishes the whole thing nicely.
Its a two-colour job. Red handles wife and boss, black takes the centre word, and the contrast between them is what gives it that bold confident read. The letters sit tight together so the whole block reads as one unit from a distance. And up close you can see the satin fill running in the direction of each letter stroke which is how you know its been digitised properly in industry-grade software and not just auto-converted.
Stitch count runs from just under 6k on the compact end up to about 15k on the largest, so this stitches fast. Pop it on a lightweight tearaway on a cotton tee or sweatshirt and the coverage will be clean. Skip stretchy jersey unless youre using a topping film over it, the dense satin letters can get pulled out of shape on knit fabric without it. Last mothers day a customer sent me a photo after stitching the big size onto a denim jacket and the red against dark indigo looked really sharp, she said her sister immediately asked where she got it.
Use the 3-inch version for hat fronts or tote bag corners. Use the 7-inch on the chest of a hoodie or sweatshirt front. The proportions hold well at both ends of the scale. But dont try to go smaller than the 3-inch or the loops on the letters start closing up and reading muddy.
Catch me on chat if anything stitches weird. Ill sort it out same day.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Sweatshirt and hoodie chest prints for momsStitch the large size across the chest of a plain grey or white sweatshirt and it reads clearly from across the room
- Cotton canvas tote bags for mum giftsWorks on a cream cotton tote and makes a quick Mother's Day gift that actually looks considered rather than last-minute
- Denim jacket back or chest panel designsThe red and black pop beautifully on a dark denim jacket, especially against indigo or black
- Personalised apron fronts for the kitchen bossCenter it on an apron bib and it doubles as both a funny gift and something the recipient will actually wear in the kitchen
- Hat front panels for a bold statement pieceUse the smallest size on a structured hat front with a firm cutaway behind it for clean crisp letter edges
- Mother's Day gift items stitched on tea towelsStitch onto a cotton kitchen towel for a practical Mother's Day gift that costs almost nothing to make
- Baby shower gift bags and wrapping patchesIron-on or sew-on patch version works great on small gift bags or kraft paper gift wrapping for baby showers

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
