Honestly this hamster is kinda ridiculous and thats exactly why people love it. The thing is all chubby face and winter coat energy, those big round cheeks practically bursting, tiny scarf or hat on, looking very pleased with itself in the cold. Its the kind of design that makes you snort a little when you first see it.

Ten colours is a bunch for any design and this one uses em all across the fur gradient and the accessories. The directional stitching on the fur is what gives it that actual texture, not just a flat coloured blob but something that looks genuinely fluffy when its done. I had a customer this winter who was gona give it as a gift and ended up keeping the finished piece for herself, which happens more often than youd think with this one.

Five sizes, from 3.5 inches wide 7.5 in upper. The stitch count hits 40,170 at full size so its a real project, not a quick run. Satin columns on the outlines keep everything tight and the density at 1167 means you really do need a cutaway stabiliser, not tearaway, especially on knit fabrics.

Best on fleece, wool blend or heavy cotton. Avoid super stretchy jersey without a proper tearaway topping to keep the face features sharp. Hoop snugly, the cheek fills need good tension to sit right. Reach out if the file gives you any trouble and Ill have a look at it.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Winter sweatshirts for hamster loversThe 7.mid 5-in on a cream or oatmeal sweatshirt looks like a proper illustrated keepsake, not clip art.
  • Cosy gift for pet ownersStitched on a fleece blanket or gift it to the hamster person in your life for a birthday or christmas that actually lands.
  • Kids winter tshirt or jumperKids who love animals go wild for this on a pullover, especially when mum stitches it in their favourite colour scheme.
  • Seasonal tote bag for animal fansA medium size on a canvas tote turns it into an everyday bag that sparks conversations with anyone who sees it.
  • Winter hoop art for home decorIn a 7 or 8 inch embroidery hoop on cream linen it works as a quirky but charming winter wall piece.
  • Funny secret santa gift ideaThis is the kind of design that wins a secret santa because whoever gets it immediately knows someone actually thought about it.
  • Pet themed christmas stockingThe 3.5-in version for stocking front is sweet and fits neatly with room for a name or year below.
  • Bedroom pillow or cushion coverOn a plain linen or cotton cushion cover it adds a pop of personality to a neutral bedroom or living space.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
