Its just the outline of a snowflake, nothing more. 6 arms radiating from a centre point, each one branching into 2 shorter diagonal arms about halfway up, with small rounded tips at the ends. The line is clean and thin, run in a single pass around the whole shape. No fill stitching at all, which is partly why the stitch count is so low but also why it looks so sharp, especially on fine fabrics where a dense fill would distort the weave.

1 colour, works in any thread you like. I've stitched this in white on navy, silver metallic on black velvet last December, and in a dusty blue on white linen for Christmas table linens. All of them looked proper good. The metallic thread version takes a bit of patience because metallic thread is finicky at the slow speed the small sizes need, but its worth it.

Because the thread total runs low even at the 4-inch size, its a fast stitch-out. Useful if youre making alot of them, say for a set of gift tags, ornaments, or a matching set of napkins. The smallest size at 1 inch works as a border repeat if you hoop and reposition along a hem line.

Last december one customer ordered a batch for her christmas market table runners, she stitched 24 of em in silver thread on cream linen. Use a light tearaway stabiliser since the outline runs delicate. Skip thick fleece because the thin line vanishes in the pile. Hoop firm to keep the curves clean on the 1-inch version.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
