Cooked up this witch ghost as the halloween character thats a bit further than the usual simple ghost. The ghost itself is aqua, which is kinda an unexpected colour choice but it really works against any dark background. Im a fan of how the palette landed. She wears a tall grey witch hat with a purple band, tongue out like she doesnt care, holding a red trident in one hand and an orange jack-o-lantern in the other. Behind her theres a yellow crescent moon and 2 small bats. Twelve colours total, 11 colour changes across 4 sizes.

Stitch counts go from 10,096 at the smallest 2.44 inch wide size up to 28,309 at the 4.5-in chest. Density is 962 on the larger sizes, the aqua ghost fill is the densest section by far because it needs full coverage to read cleanly. The smaller sizes run the fill at a lighter density which is why the smaller stitch count drops alot compared to the larger ones. Digitised in professional tools with directional fill on the ghost body and satin columns on the hat brim and trident handle.

This one gets ordered every september without fail. A customer wrote me earlier this october, suprised to have recieved the file so quickly, she'd expected a wait. She stitched the chest 3-in on her daughters halloween costume tutu and her classroom halloween party shirt the same weekend. Two uses, one file. Thats the kinda return I love seeing.

Use a cutaway stabiliser across all fabric types here. Pick a needle appropriate for your fabric weight, white cotton jersey needs a 75/11 stretch needle to avoid flagging, canvas can take a 90/14. The aqua fill section runs long so keep bobbin tension even. Best background colours are black, white, grey or charcoal, the 12-colour palette reads cleanest without competition from a strong base colour.
