Solid black silhouette, 5 sizes starting at 3.5 inches wide and climbing toward 7.5 inches. The witch stands front and centre, long robes and a tall pointed hat, with a cluster of carved pumpkins gathered at her feet. Its all solid fill so theres no colour matching, no mid-hoop changes, just one thread colour from start to finish. The silhouette reads really clearly even from a metre away, which makes it a reliable choice for Halloween shirts that need to look good across the room.

Stitch counts run from 15281 on the 3.5-inch up to 38064 on the full 7.5-inch version. Density is 688 across the design, which is firm enough for the solid fill areas but not so packed that its gonna fight a lighter fabric. Built in my embroidery software with underlay mapped under the robe sections to keep the satin edges crisp at the larger sizes. The hat brim and the pumpkin shapes are where most of that underlay density sits.

A customer last september sent me a message after stitching the 6-in chest on an orange cotton sweatshirt in black thread. The contrast was honestly brilliant and I hadnt thought of doing it inverted like that before, black design on orange instead of the usual way around. Works as well as you'd hope. Heights match widths pretty closely, going from 3.44 inches at the smallest to 7.37 at the top.

Hoop a firm stabiliser, cutaway or dense tearaway on heavier fabric. Those filled sections need the base to stay completely flat or you'll see shadowing under the satin. Skip lightweight jersey for the large sizes specifically. Use a topping on sweatshirt fleece to stop the nap pulling up through the fill. Send me a note if you want the colour placement flipped for a lighter or darker base.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween shirts and sweatshirtsFront chest placement on a black or orange crewneck at 5-6 inches reads clearly at arm's length.
  • Trick-or-treat canvas bagsStitched on natural cotton canvas bags the solid silhouette holds up through a full trick-or-treat season.
  • Autumn tote bags for October marketsOn a cream or tan cotton tote the solid black witch silhouette has a classic woodblock print quality.
  • Embroidery hoop wall artHooped on natural linen in a 10-inch hoop, the scene becomes a reusable Halloween wall piece.
  • Denim jacket chest pocket patchesthe 3.5-in run fits neatly on a jacket chest pocket flap for a subtle Halloween touch.
  • Tea towels and kitchen linenStitched in rust or burnt orange thread on white linen, works as a seasonal tea towel.
  • Fall throw pillow coversDark linen or charcoal cotton pillow covers let the silhouette sit as the only focal point.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
