Woodland animal portrait, and its a raccoon, sitting upright, paws resting in front, looking right at you with that classic bandit face. The mask markings sit dark across the eyes, white rings inside, and the expression is somewhere between curious and totally unbothered. Ringed tail curls to one side. Two colours, charcoal and white, and the density of the stitching is honestly what carries the whole thing.

Real fur texture comes from proper directional stitching rather than flat fill. I worked the chest and belly in lighter long-and-short columns so the pale underbelly reads naturally against the darker back. The ears have that soft grey inside sweep. Whisker lines pop clean in white satin thread. I mapped the underlay in professional tools carefully so the mask holds its edge on dense weave and doesnt drift when youre hooping jersey. Alot of two-colour designs end flat. This one doesnt.

But the reason I keep coming back to it is cabin and outdoor gear merch. I get messages from people running small wilderness lodges, makers doing custom camp jackets, a woman last autumn who sews gifts for her family cabin weekends. Raccoon designs punch above their weight on outdoor apparel because the subject actually belongs in the setting. Stitch the 5 inch face on the back of a forest green fleece or a waxed canvas tote and it looks like it was meant to be there.

And if youre thinking wall hoops, this portrait sits really well in a 6-inch natural wood frame. Charcoal on cream linen looks like proper wildlife illustration art. Pop a medium-weight cutaway behind thicker fabrics, tear-away on quilting cotton. Hoop drum-tight for the face area, the 1767 density needs a firm hold or the mask edges drift. Pick the 3.5-inch for pocket placement on shirts.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
