A woodland scene with 3 colours total, warm brown, sage green, and cream, keeping the whole build calm and cohesive. The animals sit in a grouped composition, the kind of arrangement you see in childrens book illustrations where everything feels naturally placed rather than randomly scattered. Density is 674 which sits in the comfortable mid-range, so the finished piece has good coverage without pulling or warping the base fabric. The horizontal spread means its wider than it is tall, 3.51 inches reaching 7.51 against a height of 2.35 to 5.03 inches.

Stitch range is 10,053 at the smallest build up to 25,460 at the 7.51-inch width. I stitched a 5-inch piece on a natural linen table runner for a woodland baby shower last year and a customer who saw it ordered 4 of them on the spot for her own event. The 3-colour simplicity is what makes it work at alot of different scales. Back your linen or cotton with a tearaway stabiliser since density 674 doesnt need a heavy cutaway to hold its shape on most wovens.

Use the wide aspect ratio to your advantage. Stitch it across the bottom hem of a blanket or along the edge of a cot sheet where that wide format works with the layout naturally. Pair with a tearaway for quilting cotton or muslin. Add the largest size to a nursery wall hoop on natural linen for a soft woodland decor piece. Avoid printing on dark fabric since the sage green disappears and youll lose half the composition detail.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby nursery hoop art on natural linen fabricThe 7-inch version on natural linen in a wooden hoop makes a ready-to-hang nursery wall art piece.
  • Woodland baby shower table runner or napkinsStitch across linen table runners with tearaway backing for a woodland baby shower centerpiece.
  • Kids bedroom blanket hem border embroideryThe wide horizontal format works perfectly along a blanket hem or cot sheet border in the 5-inch build.
  • Gender-neutral baby gift on muslin wrap or pouchThree neutral colours make it universally wearable on muslin, great for gender-neutral baby shower gifts.
  • Cottage-style home decor pillow with forest motifWorks well on linen cushion covers for a cottage or woodland-themed room without being too juvenile.
  • Childrens clothing applique on a shirt or jacketSmall 3.51-inch build fits a shirt collar or kids jacket chest without dominating the garment.
  • Craft fair woodland-themed items for baby and homeClean and simple enough to batch stitch for craft market stock, especially paired with other woodland items.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
