Interlacing satin columns cross over and under each other all the way around the heart edge, like a braid running the perimeter. Its not a simple single-line outline, you can actually see where the lines cross, which gives the border a dimensional woven quality when its stitched up. Single colour, so all the visual interest comes from the weave pattern and the texture of those crossing sections.

4 sizes running from 2.51 inches wide up to 5.51 inches, stitch count is 4,485 on the small end and runs up to 11,916. Density sits at 547 which is tighter than a basic outline, meaning the woven satin sections need lightweight cutaway underneath to hold their shape properly through washing. Dont use tearaway on this one, the density will pull through it mid-stitch on anything larger than 3 inches.

my main software drove the underlay and I paid alot of attention to the underlay sequence so the crossing points stitch in the right order and actually look interlaced rather than just stacked. One customer this valentines told me she was suprised how clearly the woven texture came through on a white cotton pillowcase at the 5 inch size. Hoop your fabric tight, use a medium cutaway, and youll get the same result.

Try red on white for a clean valentines look. Navy on cream works great for a year-round piece that doesnt read as seasonal. Avoid stretchy fabrics unless you use a stabilising topping as well, those crossing satin columns need a firm base to sit flat.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
