The cat is fully committed to this yawn. Mouth thrown wide open, pink tongue curled up in the middle, teeth showing top and bottom. The eyes are squeezed half shut the way cats do when theyre absolutely not interested in anything you have to say. Long fine whiskers shoot out sideways. Ears perked. Grey and black tabby stripes run across the forehead and down the cheeks with that classic M-mark right between the brows. Six colours: black, white, light grey, charcoal, mid grey and soft pink for the mouth interior.
my digitising suite digitised the fur with directional stitching throughout, so every section of the face has the thread laying the way actual fur grows, which is whats behind that near-photographic look rather than a flat cartoon fill. Nine sizes from 3.43 to 7.34 inch wide, stitch count goes from 23,619 on the smallest up to 53,769 on the biggest. Thats alot of detail in the larger sizes and it shows once its hooped up and running on decent cotton.
I designed this one for the cat cafe market and it took off fast. A cat cafe in manchester ordered it last september for their staff aprons and emailed the snap. Looks realy sharp on the front bib pocket. Since then I get messages from cat mums, pet portrait artists and people making gifts for the unhinged cat person in their family.
Best on white or cream cotton where the tones read clean. Pop it on a pale blue linen tote for something a lil softer. Avoid busy patterned fabric because the face detail needs a plain ground to land on. Youll want cutaway stabiliser and to slow your machine speed on the dense directional sections or ya get thread breaks in the fur areas. Hoop tight. Ping me if anything looks off when you stitch it out and ill sort it.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
