Its a lily at full open, not a bud, not a side view. The petals spread outward in that classic star shape lily blooms make, with the stamens clustered at the centre in amber thread. Butter yellow is the main petal colour, the centre is a deeper amber to separate the stamens from the petals visually, and the sage stems and leaves anchor the base. Four colours total, which lets this run fast with minimal thread changes.

Digitised in digitising tools. Density sits at 702, lighter than some of our floral designs, which keeps the petals soft-looking rather than stiff. Nine sizes from 3.11 inches wide at the smallest to 6.66 inches at the largest, stitches going from 10,428 to 35,050. The taller height range means the lily is taller than its wide at some sizes, so plan your hooping around the 7.5-inch height at max size. Use a light tearaway or medium cutaway stabiliser on the white pique cotton this design suits, the density is low enough that tearaway handles it fine on wovens. Add topping over pique weave to keep the satin edges from catching the texture. Skip the tearaway on any fabric with give. Stitch the underlay first so the base stems dont shift when you hit the denser petal fills above.

One customer ran this on a white pique polo last spring, she said the butter yellow reads almost cream against the white fabric in certain light, it looked like the lily was part of the weave. Thats actually a nice effect if you want it subtle. If you want the yellow to pop more, pick a light grey or pale sage cotton instead of white. Email me the order number if the download gives you any problem, Ill get the file sorted same day.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • White pique polo chest placement for spring or garden eventsAt 3-4 inches the lily fits a polo chest placement with clear petal detail at normal viewing distance.
  • Linen table napkin corner accent at smaller sizesA linen napkin corner at 3 inches adds a botanical touch without competing with table settings.
  • Cotton canvas tote with botanical garden themeThe 6-7 inch size fills a canvas tote front panel as the sole focal element.
  • Framed hoop art on natural linen for kitchen or dining roomHooped on natural linen and framed at 5-6 inches it makes a simple seasonal wall piece.
  • Baby shower gift on a cotton onesie at 3-inch sizeThe 3-inch size sits well on a cotton onesie chest for a baby shower botanical gift.
  • Summer dress or blouse collar accentA shirt collar or blouse neckline accent at the smallest size adds a delicate seasonal detail.
  • Cushion centre panel on cream or pale grey cottonCentred on a pale grey cushion cover at 6 inches the butter yellow stands out against the neutral base.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
