One colour, one size, one very specific halloween sense of humour, this one always gets a laugh from people who see it before its even stitched. At 1.99 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall with 6,106 stitches and a density of 136, its digitised for a narrow vertical placement like a shirt pocket, sleeve, or hat band. The text sits integrated with the broom composition rather than floating as a separate element, so it reads as one clean graphic.

I get messages every october from customers using this on halloween totes, witch hats, even aprons, one customer wrote me last year saying she did a whole set of costume accessories with it and her friends thought she bought them from a boutique. And because its just a single colour, swap thread to match whatever base fabric youre working with, orange on black, black on orange, lime green on dark grey. The broom bristle area uses directional stitching so the bristle texture comes through without needing any separate element to show it. Use standard cutaway stabiliser on any stretch fabric so the narrow vertical composition doesnt warp sideways under tension. Stitch the underlay passes first and dont skip them even on simple files like this one.

But the real reason people keep buying this one is its so fast to stitch out, single colour, no thread changes, clean density at 136. Pick it for costume pieces, trick-or-treat bags, hat bands, sleeve placements. And if you want to run two side by side on a wider item like a pillowcase, they fit fine with a couple inches between. Natural or linen fabric with contrasting dark thread gives it a vintage halloween poster feel that photographs nicely for shop listings or social posts aswell.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween witch hat brim bandWitch hat brim band in orange or lime green thread on black, the narrow vertical format wraps around the hat band like it was always there.
  • Kids trick-or-treat tote bagCanvas tote bag side panel, fits beside a handle without crowding the main design and adds a cheeky detail the handle hides sometimes.
  • Halloween costume tee chestBlack cotton tee left chest, single colour thread change means the whole run is done before most people have settled into their setup.
  • Black canvas mini backpackSmall canvas backpack front pocket, the narrow 1.99 inch width fills a pocket panel without taking over the whole face.
  • Halloween party apron pocketApron bib pocket edge as part of a set of halloween word designs, each one stitched along the bib creates a full witch-themed look.
  • Seasonal throw pillow panelFelt banner strips for a wall display, stitch several on black felt and trim into tabs for a hanging seasonal sign.
  • Fabric banner trick-or-treat signHalloween canvas sneaker side panel for someone who wants their whole october outfit to be a commitment.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
