Yin yang circle with a sleepy floppy-eared dog face curled into the upper light half, eyes shut, nose tucked down. The lower dark half holds a curled-up cat with a long tail flicking up toward the dividing curve. Scattered tiny hearts trail between em across both halves, kinda just floating in the spaces between the two animals. The whole thing reads dense and detailed because of the line work on the cat whiskers and dog ear curves.

Single colour, just black thread. No colour changes, no stops, the machine handles it as one continuous run. Stitch range goes from 8,301 at the smallest 2.51-inch up to 28,743 at the largest 6.51-inch which is the densest of the three yin yang pet designs ive digitised. Density sits at 677 which is heavier than the paw-only version because of all the negative-space line detail on the animal faces, so factor that in when youre customising for thin fabrics.

I built it in my usual software with directional fills on the two solid halves and fine straight-stitch detail on the whiskers and hearts. The 20 trims on the bigger sizes are mostly from the scattered heart elements, so if youre running it on a multi-needle machine just let the trims happen naturally. Dont try to merge them, you lose the floating-heart effect.

I get messages from cat-and-dog households alot for this one. One customer told me she made matching 4-inch versions on two tote bags, one for her and one for her partner, kinda just a couple thing because they have a rescue cat and a rescue dog at home. Cute story. Stabilise with medium cutaway on knits, the dense fill needs the support or youll get puckering around the circle border.

Avoid running this on velvet or satin fabric, the fine whisker lines will sink into the pile. Pick smooth cotton, brushed fleece, or polycotton scrub-weight for best definition. Pair the 5-inch with a denim tote panel for a quiet pet-household statement.

Send me your machine format if you need anything tweaked, ill take a look this week.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
