So this one is the widest web in the range, gonna get to that in a sec. The spider here doesnt hang and its not at the centre either, its kinda just sitting left of the web mid-section, tucked into the structure like its settled in and waiting. That left-offset position gives the whole design an asymmetric tension that reads really differently from the symmetric version.
Width runs from 3.64 inches up to 7.79 inches, heights spanning 3.51 to 7.51 in range. Five sizes, stitch counts 1,469 to 2,990, density 51 so its on the lighter side and the radial lines stay fine without over-packing the thread. Single black, 3 trims, zero colour changes. Digitising was done in industry tools and the satin underlay on the web radials keeps them flat on mid-weight cotton without topping. A standard 5x7 hoop covers all five sizes.
I get messages from buyers asking which web design works best for a wide pillow front and this is the one I point them to. One person stitched the 7-inch version on a halloween throw pillow and said the off-centre spider made people look twice when they noticed it wasnt centred, that kind of lil asymmetry makes it more interesting to stitch aswell. Use medium cutaway stabiliser on woven cotton. Avoid light knits because the wide radial lines distort if the backing isnt firm. Pick the 5-inch size if youre working a 5x7 frame and dont want to reposition. Email a note if you hit any trouble with the file and Ill get it sorted.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Halloween throw pillow fronts and cushion panelsThe wide 7.79-inch format fills a standard 18-inch pillow front as a bold single motif
- Wide tote bag and project bag frontsLeft-offset spider placement draws the eye across the full width of a tote front panel
- Spooky quilt squares and patchwork blocksThe 3.64-inch version fits a 6.5-inch quilt square with good margin all round
- Halloween apron bibs and kitchen towelsOpen density 51 keeps the web lightweight so it doesnt stiffen an apron bib
- Jacket back yoke patches and denim vest panelsThe broad sweep of the web reads well on a jacket back without needing framing
- Trick-or-treat bag panels and canvas pouchesCanvas pouch fabric handles the 5-inch size cleanly with medium cutaway backing

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
