Gonna be honest, this is one of those designs I keep pulling out every single year around september and october. Three colours: deep walnut brown for the trunk and main branches, burnt orange for the inner canopy mass, and a brighter rust-red for the outer leaf clusters. The layering between those two orange-red tones is what makes it look like an actual autumn tree rather than a flat blob of colour. The density is 691 so its got good coverage and the colour contrast reads well even on medium-value fabrics.
Five sizes ranging from 3.5 by 2.53 inches at 10752 stitches all the way up to 7.5 by 5.43 inches at 28143 stitches. The wider horizontal format means it suits panels and pockets well, it sits wider than it is tall, which is kinda nice for linen runners and quilt panels. Pop light cutaway most projects; with 28143 stitches on the large, a tearaway wont give enough support. Best needle for this is a 80/12 sharp on woven fabric, and always use a topping on fluffy fabrics like fleece or velvet so the satin edges come out clean.
Really popular with people digitising autumn home decor. One customer messaged me last january about a set of fall pillow covers she made with the 7-in size on natural linen, she said the rust and orange looked amazing against the tan background. Also great on tote bags and kids school bags for back-to-school, or as a seasonal linen runner accent. Send me a quick note if any size in the pack doesnt open correctly on your software and Ill resend the individual file.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Fall throw pillow decorationthe largest 7 fills a throw pillow front panel beautifully, use medium-weight cutaway on linen or cotton canvas.
- Autumn linen table runner centrepieceRun the 5-inch version across a natural linen runner, burnt orange pops against tan and off-white backgrounds.
- Back-to-school tote baga 3.5 chest hooped on a canvas school tote looks great, sturdy enough for daily kid use.
- Seasonal quilting project blockUse it as a seasonal quilt block, the wide horizontal shape works well in a 6-inch block with borders.
- Thanksgiving tablecloth setStitch multiples across a cotton tablecloth for thanksgiving, 3-colour palette means manageable thread count.
- Fall wreath fabric accent piecethe 4-in print on a fabric wreath centre adds texture, use stabiliser since wreath bases can be uneven.
- Child's school bag autumn designSmaller 3.5-in design for a children's school bag in dark navy or forest green, orange really pops on those backgrounds.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
