This beagle just radiates happy. Mouth open, tongue out, one paw lifted like its mid-trot to come say hello. Its the kind of dog face that people who own beagles instantly recognise and people who dont own beagles immediately want one.

The design uses 9 thread colors to build the tri-color beagle markings properly, warm brown saddle, darker espresso on the ears and back, white on the chest, and those big doe eyes with a highlight catch in each one. Its got a lil heart-shaped tag on the collar which is a redundant detail but somehow makes the whole thing better. I digitised the fur texture in embroidery software using directional satin fills so the coat actually has a sense of movement rather than flat blocks. At the 5.57 inch size the ear and fur detail really shows up.

Biggest size runs at 46,341 stitches so give your machine time and use a proper cutaway stabiliser with some tear-away on top if you're hitting it on fleece or terry. Density is 1,108 stitches per square inch, manageable for most commercial machines but Id go slow on the first run at the 7 inch size. 5 sizes total, smallest at 2.61 inches by 3.51 inches.

One customer last month ordered this for a beagle owners gift basket and said it was the easiest personalised gift she'd ever made. Pop it on a cream or white tote for a clean background. Great on light or mid-tone fabrics where the warm brown shows well. On navy or dark green it also reads nicely because the white chest pops.
