Three little bees, same body shape, completely different moods. One's grinning wide, one looks genuinely surprised, and the bottom one is doing that classic happy squint with the rosy cheeks. The wings are this soft teal shade which is a bit unusual for bee designs and its honestly what makes this one stand out in a lineup.
Seven colours total: golden yellow body, deep orange shading, teal wings, light sky blue wing highlight, pink for the cheeks, white, and black. Six colour changes. Built in my usual software, 9 sizes across the 2.92" to 6.23" width range, stitch counts go from 11,572 at the tighter end to 31,706 fully expanded. Thats a lot of stitches but the detail in the fills is what earns it.
Under kids garments go with a solid medium-weight cutaway, dont go light on this or the dense fills will pull the fabric. On wovens like canvas or denim a firm tear-away is fine. Hoop tight and float the fabric snug or youll get shifting between the 7 colour passes. Add a topping over anything with a pile or rough weave.
Kids love it, parents of bee-obsessed kids love it. Back in march one customer sent me a photo after doing 12 little aprons for a birthday party and the kids were fighting over which bee face was best. Spring and garden market sellers use it on bags and pouches too, its just got that cheerful energy that moves product.
