Believe santa face design here, drawn in that classic vintage greeting card style. The hat is red leopard print rather than plain red and thats the detail that pulls your eye. Black spots scatter across the red dome, a cream pom-pom hangs off the side, white fur trim runs the brim. A lil sprig of red berries tucks into the fur band on the left.
The face is where I spent most of my time. Rosy peach cheeks, a wide warm smile, the moustache curling up over his lip, beard done in directional white satin so the strands read as actual hair instead of a soft blob. Six teal snowflakes radiate out behind his head like a wreath in different sizes. Flowing teal cursive script underneath reads Believe.
Ive been digitising this style for a few christmases running and folks keep coming back for the nursery hoop versions. Last christmas a buyer ordered the largest version for above her four year olds bed. She sent over photos a week later and the kid was asking every night if santa could see her through the wood ring. Honestly that message made my week.
Stitch counts run dense. Theyre 33674 at the bottom end up to 56584 on the largest, so this isnt a quick decorative piece. my standard software file, six threads, five colour swaps. Stabilise with heavy cutaway behind everything. The leopard hat is tatami fill so slow your machine through it or the threads bunch on the dense corners. Width goes 4.5 inches at the smallest to 7.5 inches at the biggest, four versions packed in the zip.
Best fabric is cream or cool grey so the teal still glows. Avoid deep navy cause the beard outline blurs into it. Anythings off, just shoot me a note. Its no big deal. Im on the inbox most days. Youre welcome to ask anything. Thats how I run this shop.
