The butterfly lands on a pink daisy and takes up most of the design. Big open wings, that brilliant sky blue with deeper teal towards the body and those orange and black spots running along the wing edges. The body has black and white segmentation on each section. The daisy sits underneath, soft pink petals fanning out from a mustard yellow centre, with a small bud off to the side on a green stem. Behind the whole thing theres a loose cluster of watercolour-style paint splash marks in mustard and peach. Really gives it that botanical illustration feel, like something from a nature print.
Its got nine sizes from 3.51 by 3.43 inches up to 7.51 inches wide, stitch count runs from 25k on the smallest all the way to sixty thousand stitches on the largest. That 60k count on the biggest size is mostly coming from the butterfly wing fills which are dense satin with directional stitching for that glossy sheen. The background splash sections use a lighter tatami fill to keep them looking soft. Multiple colour changes but the thread palette is really cohesive so it doesnt feel fussy to stitch. I get lot of messages from butterfly garden gift shops and nature-inspired boutiques about this one. A customer ordered it last spring for her conservatory pillow collection and told me it was the first thing people picked up when they came in.
Pop it on white, cream or pale sage fabric. The blue butterfly really sings against light grounds and those watercolour background splashes show up best on white or cream linen. Skip busy patterned fabric here because those loose splash marks behind the butterfly need a clean ground to read properly. Cutaway stabiliser on anything thats going through regular washing. The wing density is high so hoop firm and use topping film on velvet or terry if youre doing that. Stitch the butterfly body first before the wing fills and keep tension even through the satin sections. Send me message if the file gives you any bother and ill have a look same day.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
