The wings dont look like real butterfly wings, they look more like a pair of ornamental wrought-iron gates unfolding from either side of a paw. Each wing panel is built from thick satin columns that curl and scroll outward, tipping into little spirals at the ends, with smaller vine-like curves filling the negative space inside. Right in the centre where a butterfly body would normally sit theres a solid filled paw print, three round toe pads and one larger pad below, bold and simple. The whole thing is symmetrical and a lil bit gothic in the nicest way.
Single black thread, zero colour changes. The satin column scrollwork runs at a low density of 383, just 7k stitches on the smallest 3.51-inch size up to nearly 16k on the largest 7.51-inch. That low count means the machine finishes quickly and the result sits flat even on lighter fabrics. professional tools kept the underlay clean and the satin fill runs consistent across all 5 sizes, so ya get the same crisp edge whether youre doing a small patch or a large hoodie back piece.
Most of the people who buy this one have lost a pet. A customer wrote me last october after stitching the 5.5-inch on an ivory linen cushion for her mum, who had just lost a dog of 14 years. She said her mum kept it on the sofa and it felt like the right kind of quiet. Dm me with your pets name and I can suggest where to add a name line underneath if you want that personalised touch.
Stitch on ivory, cream, oatmeal, or pale grey fabric for the softest read, the gothic scroll detail comes through beautifully on natural linen. Add a name or date in a second run using a simple chain or stem stitch underneath the paw. Use a medium tearaway stabiliser on stable woven cotton. Skip knit fabric on anything smaller than 5 inches or the fine scroll tips wont hold their shape. Dm me if you want to add a name line and Im happy to advise on placement and font size.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
