So the chick is literally in the middle of hatching here. Head and body already out, little wings flapped open to the sides, beak open wide like its announcing itself to the world. The egg shell is cracked into big jagged pieces around the base. And the whole thing has that soft rounded cartoon look that works so well on baby stuff.
Seven colours in total: bright yellow for the body, white on the shell, grey crack lines on the eggshell, orange beak and feet, a warm peachy tone on the inside of the shell. Lots of thread changes but the density stays controlled so it lays flat. Biggest size stitches out at 38,907 and the smallest at 14,663 which is alot for a 3.29 inch piece but its all tight satin work.
I made this one specifically for nursery items and it sells alot around easter aswell. One customer ordered it on a set of 5 onesies in different sizes for a spring baby shower and that looked genuinely adorable. The 5-inch version is my go-to for onesie fronts.
Five sizes from 3.29 up to 7.06 inches wide so you can fit it on baby gear, toddler tees, or a larger tote or pillow. Pop firm cutaway knit fabrics, tearaway on woven cotton. But go slow on any baby onesie fabric since the jersey can shift under the hoop if you rush it.
Stitch it on cream, mint, pale yellow or white fabric for maximum contrast. Skip anything darker than a mid-tone because the yellow chick can get muddy. Holler if the download plays up and I'll resend straight away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
