Twelve colours in a paw print sounds like overkill until you actually see it stitched. I digitised this in professional digitising software at a density of 76, deliberately light for the pad fills so the colours stay vivid without the stitch buildup making the edges stiff. Nine sizes from 3.5 to a 7.5 top wide, stitch counts ranging from 1,009 at the smallest to 27,601 at the full size. The outline around each pad section is a clean satin run that keeps the colour boundaries sharp even on stretchy fabrics. Its a lil design that punches above its weight.
I hear from buyers about this one a lot from people doing pet supply shops, rescue charity fundraiser merch, dog grooming salon staff uniforms, basically anywhere thats wanting something colourful and pet-related without being a specific animal breed. Last june a rescue shelter coordinator ordered it for their volunteer tee run and said it was the easiest design decision she'd ever made. Pair firm tearaway for woven cotton or canvas; use cutaway on stretch jersey or fleece. The lower density of 76 is a deliberate choice, it keeps the paw light enough for thinner fabrics like cotton lawn or voile without puckering. Stitch the 5-in feature on dog bandana for a bold chest statement. Dont go with a dark base fabric unless youre planning to underlay first.
Use the smallest 3.mid-size build on a keychain fob or zip pull if youre hooping a small piece of canvas or felt. Pick a mid-weight light-tear for woven fabrics and the satin pad outlines stay crisp. Avoid very textured base fabrics like burlap or rough linen, the outline satin can drag on the surface fibres. Place on the denim bomber back for a fun pet-pride look. The 12 colour sequence stops are short per pad, so the actual machine time between changes is fast and you wont be standing there all day.
