This phoenix is the kind of design that stops people mid-scroll. The bird is shown in full wing spread, with long flowing feathers that trail down and curve outward, each feather worked in a gradient of vibrant colors, oranges, reds, yellows, and hints of deep purple and blue. It doesn't look flat or clipart-like, the layering of colors in the feather sections gives it movement and life, like the thing is actually mid-rise. On a black or dark navy background the colors really sing.
This one needs space, I'd say 5 inches minimum to do the feather detail justice, though 6 to 7 inches on a jacket back is where it truly shines. Color count is high here, realistically 6 to 8 thread colors to capture the full gradient effect across the feathers. Density is moderate to high in the fill areas. Cutaway stabiliser is strongly recommended given the size and fill density, especially on jacket backs or heavy canvas bags. Hoop very firmly and check stabiliser positioning before starting.
Jacket backs are the number one placement for this, and with good reason. A customer ran it on the back of a black bomber jacket and sent me a photo after. Looked incredible honestly, the kind of piece people stop and ask about. Also popular on large tote bags, hoodies, and denim jackets for people who want a statement design that isn't just a logo or text.
Holler at me if any of the feather gradient colors need adjusting for your thread brand and Ill sort it out fast.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
