This cool duck design is an 11 colour kawaii cartoon for summer merch. Fluffy grey body sits low on the ground, wayfarer sunglasses cover most of his head from above the beak right up to the crown, bright orange beak pokes out below, fluffy cream-white belly puff sticking out the front. Two big orange webbed feet stretch in front of him, one tiny wing tucked at his side. Honestly its silly, you cant look at him and not smile. Drew it for my nephew last summer who wanted a duckling in chunky shades on his beach tote.
Nine hoops carry the file, stitch counts climb from 23,287 up to 61,543, this one sits firmly on the heavy end of my catalog. Black outline does most of the work at 11,070 to 13,917 stitches alone, the grey body fluff lands second near 3,296 to 4,671, pale blue-grey shading rounds out fourth. Density settles at 1,130 stitches per inch squared, dense but not the densest, ya gotta hoop with a 2.5oz heavy stab below any knit ground.
Body fill uses layered tatami with directional shading to fake soft duckling fluff, look close and youll see the grey actually steps from pale grey on the chest to mid grey along the back which builds depth. Sunglasses run heavy satin black, real bold, with a subtle reflection highlight on the lens corners. Beak is two-tone orange with deeper shadow tucked below. Sizes step from a 3.39 inch tall mini up to a 7.26 inch tall version, the 5 inch file is the one I reach for most on kids tee chest placement.
For best results stitch on cotton kids tees, fleece hoodies, summer pool towels, canvas beach totes, denim jackets, and a quilted toddler bib. Last june one buyer picked the 6 inch file for matching family beach holiday shirts, the duck made the kids howl laughing. Avoid black or charcoal grounds because the dark shades dissapear, pale grey cream or sky-blue grounds are best. Pop a topping over terry loops or theyll fluff through the dense fill. Hoop tight at the small sizes. Real fun gift for summer.

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

- Canvas beach tote front panel for pool and seaside daysBeach totes take the 6 inch on the front panel, tearaway behind canvas keeps the dense black sunglasses crisp.
- Toddler quilted bib centre for cute mealtime giftsQuilted bibs work great at 4 inches, fuse a light cutaway behind quilted cotton with a small hoop press.
- Fleece kid hoodie chest for sunny weekend outingsKid hoodie chests handle the 4.5 inch version, medium cutaway and topping stops the orange beak sinking into fleece.
- Terry pool towel corner for poolside summer funPool towels love the 5.5 inch hit on a corner, hoop with water-soluble topping over the terry loops to prevent fluffing.
- Denim jacket back panel for older kid summer wearDenim jacket backs come out clean at 7 inches, heavy cutaway and a stable hoop centred between the shoulders.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
