Sketched this layout out kinda differently from the other sunshine quote pieces. The sunflower sits in the middle with the lettering wrapping around it, 'CREATE' in big block caps on top and 'your own Sunshine' in a flowing brush script underneath. So it reads top-to-bottom as one whole composition instead of side-by-side. Thats the part that makes it work on a denim tote without looking crowded.
Goldenrod 40wt thread for the petals, black for everything else, 1 colour change, 2 stops. The density is 616 and the petals get their dimension from directional underlay laid down before the satin columns, so theyre not flat, ya get that slight raised effect. Five sizes from 4.01 to 8.01 inches wide, stitches going from 14,736 all the way up to 35,257 at the largest. I ran the 5-inch size across a natural canvas tote last autumn and one customer asked me to share the thread colour code because the goldenrod against unbleached canvas looked so warm and different from regular yellow. Reach out if you want the largest size split across a 2-hoop run for a jacket back, Ive done that before.
Use a medium cutaway if you plan to wash it regularly. Run this at 4 inches across a cotton tee with tearaway for a lighter application. Skip anything black or very dark as a base unless youre swapping the black thread for white. Digitised in my standard software, stitch angles on the petals are hand-set for proper directional sheen across each satin column.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Canvas tote bag front in natural or cream fabricThe 7-inch file centred on a natural 12oz canvas tote looks stunning with goldenrod thread against unbleached fabric.
- Denim jacket back yoke placement for a boho lookUse the 8-inch on a denim back yoke with cutaway stabiliser; the goldenrod reads bright against mid-wash denim.
- Framed hoop wall art for a kitchen or hallwayA 5-inch version in a round 7-inch hoop with natural linen backing makes a clean kitchen wall piece.
- Cotton apron bib front for a garden or craft themed giftStitch the 5-inch face on a waxed cotton apron bib; cutaway holds clean through repeated washing.
- Linen tote bag for a farmers market or beach dayThe 6-inch file fits the front panel of a medium linen tote; tearaway topping helps with the woven texture.
- Sweatshirt chest placement for spring and summer wearHoop a crew-neck sweatshirt at centre chest with the 4-inch file and medium tearaway stabiliser.
- Baby room wall hoop in a goldenrod and white nursery themeThe 4-inch in a simple white hoop on pastel yellow linen makes a soft nursery wall piece.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
