Heres a full body crocodile from the side, jaws cranked wide open and a bright red tongue glowing inside the rows of pointed white teeth. Hes got a ridged spine arcing from the back of the head down to the tail tip, four legs drawn out clear so you see the whole reptile, not just a head bust. Theres a yellow eye glaring sideways which gives it real menace.
I layered grey-green and olive across the back with a muted khaki belly underneath. Grain texture in the fills makes the scales look proper scaly instead of being flat colour. A faint rust shadow streaks beneath the body giving that rough swamp-floor feel without me having to draw actual ground. 8 colour changes total, no fiddly thread swaps.
Last summer one customer ordered this for a fishing lodge gift shop in Louisiana and stitched 12 onto charcoal tee blanks for their pro shop. She sent me a photo and the rust shadow really grounded the croc on dark cotton. Im suprised how clean the teeth read at 5 inch wide, thats a tight stitch.
Stitch on canvas, denim, twill or heavy cotton in olive, charcoal, sand or black. Skip thin t-shirt jersey unless you fuse a layer first, the dense fill at 76,000 stitches on the largest size will warp lightweight fabric. Use a heavy cutaway stabiliser, the scale fills want that stiffness underneath.
Hoop it true, run polyester thread for outdoor wear, and skip metallic for the teeth, plain ivory white reads sharper. Pop the smaller 4-inch centre on a hat front or tote pocket, the 7 inch size goes lovely across a denim jacket back. Ping me a quick note if anythings off with the file, ill fix it.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Mens tee shirts and hoodies with a wildlife or swamp themeLooks fierce on an olive or charcoal tee, the rust shadow underneath grounds the body really well.
- Hunting and fishing gear like vests, hats and gear bagsSized for a fishing vest back or gear bag panel, runs about 6 inches wide for bold impact.
- Denim jacket back patches and statement piecesCentered on a denim military jacket back, the open jaw faces the wearer's dominant side for visual flow.
- Souvenir towels and gear for Florida or Louisiana tripsStitch on a beach towel corner with a state name in script underneath, sells well at gift shops.
- Sports team mascots for school or club uniformsWorks as a school mascot patch, drop the shadow streak so the croc reads cleaner on uniform fabric.
- Gym bags and duffels with a bold animal printBig placement across a black gym duffel, the grey-green scales show clear without bleeding out.
- Decorative pillows for a kids reptile-themed bedroomSized down to about 5 inch on a kids navy pillow, still keeps the teeth and tongue detail sharp.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
