This one is built as a wide banner layout, which works really well on shirt chest placements where you want something that reads left to right. daddy's curves along the top in a flowing hot-pink script with nice open loops, then LITTLE slams down in the middle as heavy black slab-serif caps, then valentine mirrors the script style back below it. The contrast between that airy script and the thick serif caps is what makes it pop.
On either side of LITTLE are these red teardrop ink-splash shapes, like the word is moving fast. And underneath the whole thing a black double-headed arrow runs through with a small red satin heart sitting right at its tip. Its a good secondary focal point that customer eyes track down to after reading the text.
Density is 558 on the main slab fills, which is quite solid. Back it with tearaway plus topping on any knit or stretch fabric and make sure you hoop flat or those slab-serif edges will pucker. Three colours total, 2 changes, so the colour sequence is quick. At the smallest size the design is 3.50 wide but only 1.97 inches tall, which is brilliant for baby bibs or pocket placements. Stitch it on a bib for a daddy-daughter Valentine keepsake gift, I had a customer last february order three of these on matching bibs for triplets. The largest goes to 7.50x4.20, stitches run 7,663 to 17,569. Skip dark fabric with this one since the pink reads best on white or light backgrounds.
