Feathers are one of those design subjects that can go in a lot of directions and this one goes in the right one. Its an elegant single feather, flowing curves along the spine, delicate barbs spreading outward in a way that reads genuinely fine rather than chunky, with blue and gold coloring that gives the whole thing warmth and a slightly luxe feel. Its the kind of design that looks like it belongs on a piece from a boutique shop rather than a hobbyist project, which is obviously what youd want.
No dimension data here so stitch counts will vary with your sizing. Feathers have fine detail work in the individual barb lines and those need decent stabilisation to hold cleanly, especially at smaller sizes. Tearaway works on linen, cotton, and canvas. For velvet, chiffon, or any soft/sheer fabric that you might want to put this on, use cutaway and consider a water-soluble topping as well so the barb detail doesnt get lost in the nap. Tight hooping is essential because the flowing spine curve needs to stay smooth.
Fashion projects and home decor are where this goes most often. Customers put it on throw pillows, linen napkins, scarf hems, and the collars or pockets of blouses. One customer ran it on the collar of a white linen blouse in gold thread only and said it was the most-complimented thing they owned. Its also popular for boho-themed wedding items, favors, table runners, and bridal accessories. Single gold thread or tone-on-tone cream gives it a very clean, high-end look.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
