Side profile of an elegant lady wearing a wide red brim hat, the hat is what you see first and it should be. The brim sweeps wide and low and the colour is a bold crimson that pulls the eye. The face sits back under the brim in a three-quarter view, skin tones blended in warm peach and mid-tan layers, blonde hair visible on the side, and the lips in a dusty rose. Its a composed, unhurried kind of portrait.
Twelve colours in total and a density of 1,476 which is on the denser end of what I digitise. The hat gets the most attention from the machine, theres a satin column edge around the brim and a directional fill inside that goes on in 2 passes, underlay then topstitch, which stops the red from blooming or bleeding at the outer edge. Stitch count starts at 18,791 at the smallest 3.5-inch and runs up to 59,097 on the full 7.5-inch. Thats a substantial hoop at the top end, so youll want your machine in good order before running the largest file.
My mum wanted a fashion portrait design for a small boutique she helps run, she does custom tote bags and garment bags for customers as a value-add. She wanted something that looked expensive but wasnt a licensed designer image. Last spring she went with the 5-inch on a cream canvas tote and it genuinely looks like a luxury retail product, not a crafty home-made thing. Thats exactly what I was going for.
Cream, ivory, or pale blush fabric work best because the thread shading needs a neutral ground to read correctly. Avoid pure white if youre doing peach skin tones, the contrast goes harsh. Heavy cutaway stabiliser is essential here, 59k stitches on the large size will drag any loosely stabilised fabric. Hoop very tight and slow the machine down for the directional fill sections on the hat. Add a topping on velvet or plush fabric if the surface has a pile.
The file ships 9 sizes covering 3.5 to 7.5 inch, 8 machine formats ship inside the zip. Text me through the contact form if theres a size that doesnt work and Ill swap it out for you the same day.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
