Its two lines of lettering, and thats the whole trick. "Welcome" sits across the top in a flowing black cursive with a bit of weight to it, flanked by two short horizontal rules on either side. Below that, "SPRING" in big chunky block capitals, each letter a completely different colour. Pink S, purple P, green R, yellow I, orange N, blue G. Six colours, all satin-stitch fill with a tight directional run that catches light really nicely on cotton twill or canvas. The contrast between the script header and the blocky rainbow bottom is what makes it work.
A buyer stitched a set of tea towels with this last spring and said the linen held the 5 inch width beautifully. Stitch density sits around 618 stitches per centimetre on this design, so it builds up solid without feeling stiff or boardy. Hoop a piece of cutaway stabiliser with your fabric, run the black script first, then work through each colour change for the block letters. Six colour changes but theyre all clean stops, no real jump stitches mid-letter. Dont skip the topping on terry cloth or fleece if you want those satin fills to pop without fabric texture coming through.
Pop the 7.5 inch on a canvas garden flag or a wide apron bib and it fills the space really well. For smaller items, 3.5 inch sits tight enough for a tea cosy or a linen pocket square. Pair it with spring wreaths or pastel napkins and the rainbow letters coordinate alot easier than you'd think. Avoid dark backgrounds if you want the yellow and pink to read clearly, cream or white base fabrics are where it really sings. Hoop tight, keep your bobbin tension consistent across all six colour passes.
Just message me if the bobbin thread shows on top.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Spring welcome banner or table runnerTote bags take the 6 inch nicely, centred on the front panel with room to spare on either side.
- Kitchen tea towel setKitchen towels in linen or cotton twill show off those satin fills really clearly, especially at the 5 inch.
- Garden apron front panelOn a canvas apron the blocky SPRING letters sit right across the chest, very readable from a few steps away.
- Canvas tote bagA 4 inch version on a throw pillow gives you enough colour pop without overwhelming the fabric.
- Linen throw pillowLinen is honestly my favourite base for this one, the weave gives those directional fills a bit of texture.
- Seasonal door wreath accent hoopSeasonal door wreaths get a quick refresh when you hoop this into a small wooden accent ring at 3.5 inch.
- Baby shower table decorBaby shower table runners in cotton look fresh with the rainbow colours, great for an Easter or spring theme party.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
