She faces right and the whole thing reads as a clean profile. The hair is the biggest element, a solid black mass that starts at the headband and falls all the way past the shoulder in loose waves, ends curling inward at the tips. Its mostly filled solid which gives the silhouette that bold graphic weight, but theres enough directional stitch variation in the fill that it doesnt look flat. The face is done in light outlines, nose and lips sketched simply. A small hoop earring hangs just below the jaw.

The headband bow sits at the top and its drawn in open outline rather than fill, which gives it that dainty accessory feel against the dense hair mass. Thats a small detail but its the kind of thing that makes the profile look like it came from a fashion illustration rather than a generic clip-art. The Wilcom digitising kept the hairline and jaw edge sharp so at the 7.5-inch size you can really see the silhouette shape holding properly.

Six sizes is more than most single-colour portrait designs and the smallest comes in at 2.5 inches, which is small enough for pocket placements or accessory pieces. Last spring a customer ran the 3.5-inch run on a small batch of hair scrunchies for an accessories pop-up and the silhouette stayed clean and readable even at that scale. Ive seen people try similar things and the hair-fill detail usually breaks down below 4 inches but this one held.

Stitch on light solid fabric so the black silhouette pops cleanly. White, cream, pale pink, soft peach, or light grey all work well. Avoid anything with texture or surface interest because the outline detail on the bow and earring disappears against busy backgrounds. Use a medium tearaway on woven cotton for most sizes, and switch to cutaway if youre going on stretch fabric. Keep the hoop tight and use a stabiliser topping on any knit surface.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Fashion and beauty brand apparelWorks beautifully on a white or blush tee for a fashion-brand capsule piece with minimal colour overhead
  • Hair salon and beauty studio uniformsStitch on salon aprons or staff shirts for a clean branded look that actually matches the industry aesthetic
  • Feminine gift items like pouches and tote bagsRuns well on a canvas pouch or tote and the side-profile silhouette gives it that boutique gift-shop feel
  • Pocket placements on shirts and dressesThe 2.5 or 3.5-inch size drops onto a shirt pocket placement and reads clearly without dominating the whole garment
  • Hair accessories like scrunchies and headbandsA customer ran the 3.5-in size for on a small-batch scrunchie order and said the hair-fill held at that scale better than expected
  • Bridal shower and hen party shirtsPut it on matching satin robes or shirts for a bridal party and the elegant minimal look suits the occasion without being over-designed
  • Small framed hoop art with a fashion-illustration lookHoop in a 5 or 6 inch ring frame and hang it as a fashion-illustration style wall piece in a bedroom or dressing room

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
