This lil duck came out of nowhere honestly. I was messing around with autumn animal ideas back in october and a bunch of people had been asking me for fall critters that werent just leaves and pumpkins. So I digitised this guy, a round, happy duck in full fall kit, using twelve separate thread colours and Wilcom. The stitch count came in at 13,259 and density is 191 across the body fills, which is right in the middle range for a design this compact at three inches wide.
Use a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser when you hoop this on any fabric that stretches even a little. The satin outlines around the body and accessories are what give him his clean cartoon look, and they need a solid base to sit on. Pick a crisp white or cream base fabric and the colours really pop, I've done him on baby onesies, linen pouches, and a few kids-room pillowcases and he photographs brilliantly every time.
One customer ordered nine of these last november for a set of autumn-themed tote bags for a craft fair and dropped me a message saying they sold out by noon. Thats the kind of thing that keeps me making these honestly. The directional fill on the duck body has a subtle feather-like angle built into the underlay, so ya dont need topping on smooth cotton to get a clean result. But use a lil topping on any terry or textured fabric.
Run a test stitch on a scrap before committing to your main fabric, 12 colour changes means the hoop's in there a while and you want to know your machine tension is right before you go. Drop me a message if the file acts up and I'll have a replacement out to you quickly.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
