Book tree concept, 7 thread colors arranged as books stacked sideways into a christmas tree shape with a gold star at the peak. Its one of those ideas that makes people stop and look twice when they realise what it is. 4 sizes, largest going to 7.5 inches tall and about 57,000 stitches. The spines are each a slightly different shade so the tree reads as layered rather than flat.
Density sits at 1031 so this isnt a lightweight job. Stitch it on a medium cutaway backing and your results'll be much cleaner than tearaway. Keep your tensions a bit tighter on the narrow satin spine edges. Have your 7 thread colours organised before you start or youll lose your place mid-run. I run this at about 85% speed on my Janome and the spine edges come out crisp every time.
I stitched this for a book-club friend last December on a dark navy zip-up and she posted it to her reading group page. Genuinely got messages asking where it came from. Pop it on a tote for a library fundraiser or a cream sweatshirt for a secret santa exchange. Skip light beige fabrics since two of the warmer spine tones will blend. Reach out if you have any questions and Ill get back to you.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
