This wreath runs 5 colours and its worth every thread swap. The ring itself is made up of bright green leafy stem sections carrying bold red poppies and smaller pink flowers alternating all the way around, with brown centres on the red blooms giving them that proper botanical-illustration depth. Small black detail stitches tighten up the outlines. The whole thing has an even, deliberate rhythm to it, like a classic hand-embroidered piece from the kind of textile that gets framed and kept.
Five colour changes means you stop 4 times during the hoop, but the routing in the file is clean so each stop is quick. Stitch count goes from 9,209 on the 4-inch up to 17,690 on the 6-inch, which is honestly on the lighter side for a 5-colour design. The satin petals on the red poppies have a proper directional fill that catches the light at an angle and gives them a slightly raised look against the stem sections. Youll notice it more on heavier fabric like cotton twill or canvas where the weave has some texture. Its one of those things that doesnt show up in a photo but youll see it in person straight away.
Run it on white or cream for the most colour contrast. Pale grey works well too and tones the red down slightly if you want something a bit quieter. A customer needed the 6-inch for an etsy shop order of personalised tote bags last autumn and said their buyers kept asking which design it was, which is always a good sign. Pop it on a linen tea towel, a cushion cover, or a cotton zip pouch and it looks finished immediately.
Lay a brushed cutaway under wovens. Hoop flat and dont skip the underlay, the satin poppy petals need a solid base to sit against. Best on tightly woven fabric where the satin density stays crisp. Avoid open-weave linen at small sizes or the petals will sink into the texture.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
