So its a flying eyeball, and it is exactly as weird as it sounds in the best way. The eyeball is the body, round and detailed with an iris picked out in mint green and a deep black pupil. Around it, bat-style wings spread out with that membrane texture stitched in rosy-tan with green edging along the bones. Below, bird talons grip downward in brown. The black outline holds everything together, 7,905 stitches of black in the smallest size alone, the heaviest single colour in the stop sequence.
Nine colours, 8 changes, and stitch counts from 15,600 at the smallest 2.84 in wide up to 34,503 on the full 5.51 in version. Density runs at 756 across the design, which is on the tighter side for fantasy creature work. That stops the wing membrane fills from looking sparse and gives the iris that almost photographic depth. Wilcom drove the colour ordering for the wing pass and the colour layering shows in how the green and black interact around the eye socket without bleeding into each other.
Hoop a firm cutaway for anything with stretch. Tape water-soluble topping over fleece or velvet so those fine outline stitches dont sink into the pile. Factor in the 8 stops if youre on a single-needle machine and set aside proper time for it. Use a light spray adhesive to hold the stabiliser flat on slippery fabrics so the hoop doesnt shift mid-run. The result is genuinely worth the setup.
I get messages every october from people doing horror-themed halloween projects and this is one of the designs they come back for. A customer last halloween put the large version on a black denim jacket sleeve and it looked like something from a specialty print shop. Message me if something isnt reading right and ill sort the file.

- Denim or leather jacket patches for alternative fashionDenim jacket sleeves take this well with a firm backing; the green and black pop against indigo.
- Backpacks and tote bags for fans of dark fantasy artCanvas tote bags in black or charcoal let the lighter green and tan colours show up clearly.
- Pins and patches for tabletop RPG or game enthusiastsEmbroider onto 3 in felt circles for quick sew-on patches that sell well at craft markets.
- Kids costumes and character Halloween bagsKids who love monsters will want this on a trick-or-treat bag, and the smaller 2.84 in size fits without overwhelming.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
