This chicken has alot of personality packed into it. I digitised it in Wilcom with 8 colours and a density of 134, so the feather sections have that tight satin coverage without looking stiff when hooped up on a standard tearaway stabiliser. Nine sizes run from 3.5 inches 7.5 in max wide, which means you can stitch it small on a kid's shirt pocket or go big on a tote or apron without any loss of detail. Stitch counts go from about 1,000 at the smallest size all the way to 48,693 at the largest, the bigger sizes take a bit of time but the coverage is worth it.
I had a customer last february who ordered this for a batch of aprons she was doing for a farm shop and she said people kept stopping her at the market to ask about them. And its funny because its not the most complex design I've put out, but something about that goofy expression just stops people. The comb is done in directional satin runs so it sits really smooth, and the tail feathers use a layered underlay to give them a bit of lift. Use a cutaway stabiliser if you're hooping a stretchy fabric like a knit tee, otherwise the outline details can pull. Avoid very dark fabrics unless you plan to underlay a white layer first.
Pop this on kids clothing, kitchen textiles, anything farm-themed. Stitch the 4.5 inch size on the chest of a denim jacket for something a bit unexpected. And if you do a run of these on tea towels, a stabiliser in the hoop before you load the fabric keeps the weave from shifting under those denser fill areas. But really thats the only trick you need, keep the tension consistent and the bobbin thread matched and youre set.
Holler if you run into any trouble with the file and I will sort you out straight away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
