For once this design really earns the word funny. The zebra has an oversized round head on a stubby round body, legs that are genuinely a bit wobbly looking, a spiky mane sticking straight up, and this big comical expression like its mid-sneeze. Twelve colours including grey shading across the pale zones and proper dark outlines with white highlights in the eyes so it has actual dimension, not just flat black stripes.
Missing this from your collection would be a mistake if you do kids apparel at all. A customer wrote me in april saying she had stitched the large version on a whole set of kids birthday tshirts for a zoo theme party and the parents were asking her where she bought them. Stitch counts go high on this one, 54k at the small end up to 134k on the largest, so its a dense project and youll want to plan the machine time for the big version.
Nine sizes from 3.42 inches up to 7.32 inches wide. Density is 2454, the highest in this group, so use a solid cutaway stabiliser without exception. Cotton twill and denim handle the density well. Avoid any stretch or lightweight fabric unless youve added extra stabiliser layers. Run the machine at about 80 percent speed on the largest version to keep tension even.
Stitch on white or pale grey fabric for the full effect. On white all twelve colours read exactly as digitised. Avoid cream backgrounds since the light areas of the design disappear on cream. Add a topping layer on fleece or terry to keep the stripe edges sharp on fluffy surfaces. The 5 inch size is the right call for tee chests, the 7 inch suits jacket backs and hoodies.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
